What should I expect during a routine gynecological exam?
A routine exam usually includes reviewing your health history, checking your breasts and pelvic area, and sometimes doing a Pap smear. If you have any symptoms, additional tests may be recommended. Your provider will also talk through results and preventive care with you.
Do you provide fertility evaluations and treatments?
Yes, fertility care often starts with blood work, ultrasound, and a review of your history. Depending on your needs, treatments can include ovulation support, lifestyle guidance, or referral to advanced fertility options.
How do I know if I’m a good candidate for vaginal rejuvenation?
You may be a candidate if you have vaginal changes from childbirth, aging, or hormonal shifts that affect comfort or intimacy. A consultation helps determine if the procedure is safe and likely to meet your goals.
Do you offer services in multiple languages?
Yes, we have multilingual staff and can arrange interpreters so patients can communicate comfortably and clearly.
What insurances do you take?
We accept most major insurance plans, including PPOs, HMOs, and Medicare, for routine gynecological and obstetrical services. Please note that elective procedures such as vaginal rejuvenation and body contouring are not typically covered by insurance and are considered self-pay. Our staff is happy to verify your benefits and explain any out-of-pocket costs before your appointment.
What is vaginal rejuvenation, and how is it performed?
Vaginal rejuvenation tightens and restores vaginal tissues using either non-surgical treatments (laser or radiofrequency) or surgical procedures (vaginoplasty). It helps with laxity, dryness, and mild incontinence.
How long is the recovery for vaginal rejuvenation?
Non-surgical treatments require little to no downtime, with mild discomfort. Surgical vaginal rejuvenation may take 4-6 weeks for full recovery, with temporary swelling and soreness.
What gynecological care services do you offer?
We provide gynecological care including annual exams, birth control counseling, STD testing, menopause management, and treatment for conditions like PCOS, fibroids, and endometriosis.
How often should I have a gynecological exam or Pap smear?
An annual exam is recommended. Pap smears are typically done every 3 years (ages 21-29) or every 5 years (ages 30-65) with HPV testing. Your doctor may adjust based on your health history.
When should I schedule my first prenatal visit, and what happens during it?
Schedule your first obstetric care visit around 8 weeks of pregnancy. We confirm your pregnancy, estimate your due date, perform initial tests, and discuss prenatal care.
What if I have a high-risk pregnancy?
We provide specialized high-risk pregnancy care as part of our obstetrics care, monitoring conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, or multiple pregnancies. Additional ultrasounds and tests may be required.
How is newborn circumcision performed?
Newborn circumcision is a quick in-office procedure performed within the first few days of life using a numbing agent. Healing takes about 7-10 days, with minimal discomfort.
What body contouring procedures do you offer?
We offer body contouring treatments, including liposuction, non-surgical fat reduction, and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) to help sculpt and tone the body after weight loss or pregnancy.
How long does it take to recover from a tummy tuck?
Most patients need 2 weeks of downtime, with full recovery in 6-8 weeks. Wearing a compression garment and avoiding strenuous activities is recommended after an abdominoplasty.
Does insurance cover vaginal rejuvenation or body contouring?
Most cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance. However, we offer flexible payment plans and financing options to help manage costs.

Dr mark it's a great obgyn and so are the providers working in his facilities. I'm giving 4 stars because this location in BK serves more for Russian speaking patients and not that is something wrong with that. But I always have difficulties talking to the staff and communicating with them because they are 90% Russians. But aside from that the obgyn care under dr mark is one of the best 👌. Fully recommend dr mark and his practice
